To encourage support for its separate segregated fund (SSF), the connected organization may pledge to match all or a portion of a contribution to its SSF with a donation to a charitable organization. The contributing employee or member may designate a charity to receive the matching gift, but they may not receive any financial, tax or other tangible benefit as a result of the connected organization’s donation.
