Media Availability: Personnel available to speak on U.S. Coast Guard operations for 2021 Presidential Inauguration

WASHINGTON — The Coast Guard will host a media availability regarding Coast Guard operations for the 2021 Presidential Inauguration at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Monday.

WHO: Personnel from the Coast Guard Incident Command Post; Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team New York; Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Team-East; Coast Guard National Strike Force Atlantic Strike Team

WHAT: Coast Guard spokespersons will be available to speak on safety and security operations for the 2021 Presidential Inauguration.

WHEN: Monday, Jan. 18, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Media are asked to arrive no later than 11 a.m., to ensure entry on base.

WHERE: Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, 256 McGuire Ave, Washington, D.C., 20032

Media wanting to attend should RSVP no later than 4 p.m., Sunday with the Media Operations Center at (757) 513-3738.

Media interested in attending should have their proper credentials, a drivers license, vehicle registration and current vehicle insurance. Coast Guard personnel will meet attending media personnel at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Visitor Center upon their arrival.

Proper COVID-19 safety protocols such as mask wearing at all times and social distancing will be in place throughout the duration of the event.
