The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and the Denver Police Department need the public’s help identifying an individual who has twice robbed the UMB Bank at 707 Colorado Boulevard. The first instance was on June 15 at approximately 1 p.m. The second time was June 21 at approximately 9:35 a.m.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’8” tall and 40 to 50 years old. He was wearing a ski mask, light gray hoodie, black baseball cap, and blue jeans. The suspect displayed a demand note and fled on foot.
Please be on the lookout for anyone matching the above description. Be aware of anyone similar who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money suddenly.
Bank robbery is punishable by up to a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime. The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
